Club Information

Vintage Riders Equestrian Club is gathering together of horse riders and horse owners within the Fraser Valley to explore and offer all forms of horsemanship. With less importance placed on competition and more emphasis on fun and enjoyment of our horses and learning new skills. Creating an opportunity where horsemen and women can share their knowledge and skills in a non-judgmental environment.

This is an opportunity that is open to all; horse lovers, experienced riders, beginner riders, groups of friends, individuals and horse owners of any discipline. The only requirements are that you be 21 years of age or older and have a valid current Horse Council of British Columbia membership. For the price of a yearly VREC membership you are free to attend all monthly meetings, hear guest speakers, audit any clinics and can take advantage of member privileged activities / clinics at cost. Approved helmets ASTM or SEI must be worn when mounted at all club activities

Now 50+ members strong, this group of adult men and women organize and enjoy a huge variety of events for members. In the past few years, this group has enjoyed topics such as Equine Conformation, Pilates for the Rider, Dental care for the horse, Natural Horsemanship, Equine First Aid, Equine Nutrition, English Saddle fitting, Massage Therapy, Pre-Purchase Vet Check, Trail Etiquette, Long-lining & Driving your Horse, and Equine Skin Problems, just to name a few!   Video nights are especially welcomed in the colder winter months.

Field trips to breeding farms, breed farms, camping trips, winter "Sleigh" Ride around Fort Langley and many trail rides to various local parks. Non-riding events included canoeing on the Fraser River and an Equine Art in the Garden supper social, to mention just a couple.

Group clinics such as Cattle Penning for the Beginner, Dressage lessons, non-competitive recreational Drill Team, Bomb-proofing your Horse, TREC and Polo-Lacrosse have inspired many of our riders to get out and do much more with their equine partners.
